Introduction to Customisable Special Grinding Machine

Working Principle and Process Description:
This machine is described as a high quality, robust, and special build machine tool for grinding and polishing the inner surface of high performance, high HRC materials, including die/mold of tungsten carbide. The machine tool is controlled by industrial personal computer and PLC, which can realize manual, semi-automatic and fully automatic circulation. During the processing, according to the processing requirements, it can automatically convert different pressures in multiple stages, and automatically control the grinding cycle through the inner hole measurement system until the requirements for inner diameter size are met, which can greatly improve the work efficiency and processing accuracy.
The machine tool adopts a vertical layout, including the rack, grinding spindle, vertical carriage, pneumatic system, inner hole measurement system, cooling system, electric control system and other systems. To prevent the environment from being polluted by the coolant when the machine tool is working, the machine tool adopts a fully enclosed rack structure.
According to the characteristics of the processing object, various forms of abrasive tools are used, including special adjustable grinding rod, non-metallic elastic and floating grinding head, etc. The grinding rod cooperates with the grinding sand flow, and the elastic grinding head contains grinding sand particles. The mesh number is divided into various specifications to perform the coarse grinding, fine grinding, and polishing, respectively. Adopting this special sequence of surface finishing operations can effectively meet the finished surface requirements of hard materials with relatively thick layer to be removed before final finishing. This special machine is designed and manufactured to be able to perform rough grinding, fine grinding, and polishing in the same machine to attain the inner surface requirements of hard materials, especially tungsten carbide die or similar products.
When the machine is in working cycle, the mold is fixed on the lower workbench, the lower part relates to cooling water which enters the inner surface from the inner hole. The special elastic grinding head is installed on the grinding spindle/rod and rotates at the set speed. The spindle can move up and down at a certain pressure and speed on the vertical carriage. According to the cycle setting, the measuring system completes the comparative measurement of the inner holes at intervals until the machine tool finishes grinding and polishing the inner surface of the mold/workpiece.
